Mobile Thread Repair
We are a small well established family run mobile business, able to help with modern and older thread problems, operating from Yateley in Hampshire. We cover the Home Counties, South Coast, East and West as long as traveling is covered on our hourly rate, usually between 50-75 miles. We will travel further on larger jobs on mutual agreement with costs.
What we do
We are a mobile service which can repair stripped threads, drill out broken off studs and bolts, remove locking wheel bolts. We can also spark erode broken off taps, easy outs and glow plugs and also hydraulically and mechanically pull out seized common rail injectors from diesel engines.
Thread Repair Services
We restore damaged female screw threads, remove broken studs, bolts, and glow plugs in situ, and extract locking wheel nuts without harm, using spark erosion to tackle broken taps and drill bits. We also pull seized common rail injectors, re-face injector seats, remove stubborn copper washers, and employ a borascope to inspect internal components.
About The Thread Doctor
After coming from the agricultural plant industry always doing our own thread repairs it became apparent that there was a need for this kind of work in the car industry. When my wife and I moved to Yateley 16 years ago we formed Thread Doctor Services and the company has grown into what we have today.
Although mainly working for the car industry, we do work in other industries, solving a number of thread repairs in the boat industry as well as individual equipment such as lawnmowers, golf buggies, etc.
